A message from Stephen McPherson

As I anticipate the inaugural release of Promise, it gives me pleasure to reflect on the process it took for this great Cabernet to come to fruition.

Growing up in France, I was lucky enough to have been exposed to some of the best wines in the world. It seems like yesterday that I took my first inspiring trip to Napa - but it was over 20 years ago.

When my wife and I were planning our wedding in a vineyard belonging to my good friend Rich Frank, she made me promise her that in our life together I would always pursue my passions. I've made good on that promise, and working with Rich, I have been able to take my years of great memories combined with dreams and hopes, and bottle it.

Promise Wine

We've worked closely with winemaker Todd Graff to select specific lots of fruit from the dusty hills of Rutherford to craft this Cabernet. The fruit comes from Rich Frank's personal estate-a magical hillside vineyard neighboring Bryant Family, Heitz and Conn Creek. The wine quietly rested in Sequin Moreau French oak barrels for 30 months before bottling. We recently finished the final blend of the 2004 vintage-a bold, rich and timeless wine I will look forward to sharing with friends and family for years to come. Our focus for Promise Wine is uncompromised standards, the highest quality and very limited production.
